Project Overview
A$AP Ferg has long been a standout performance within the A$AP Mob, so it was no surprise when he expressed interest in elevating the production for his 2018 MAD MAN tour. In collaboration with Heather Shaw of Vita Motus, experienced lighting designer Michael Smalley, and Drew Best of Immanent, a performance with two moving 6-axis KR16 robots was crafted to utilize real-time cinematic effects, animatronic movements, and dynamic lighting.

To achieve this impressive performance, a small HD camera and lighting fixture was mounted to each robot, carefully animated in 3D software to the perfectly time-coded set list. The result was a production unlike anything seen before in a club performance environment, amazing audiences across the country.

Jordan was responsible for the robot arm animation, previs and direction, working in close collaboration with Michael Smalley to realize the desired production. It was a fast paced and adaptive production, where safety was a top priority.
