Project Overview
For the annual Twilight Concert Series at the Santa Monica Pier, Bradley Munkowitz and VT Pro Design wanted to tap into the feeling of community for this interactive installation. The resulting experience was to be driven by the attendees, their participation expressed visually as data in the form of vibrant pulsing lights, creating a unified visual language that permeated through the entire pier.
It was an immersive, interactive environment that not only made the attendees feel they experienced something special, but that they shared something with others, too. Just as TrueCar uses user data to price cars, we used our audience's data to drive this unique lighting experience.

- Initial design and concept renders
- Animated sequences for LED sculpture
- Created pixel maps and built layouts for the sculpture

- Built templates for other artists to use in animation
